Many people who move for the first time wonder exactly how a mover charges for their services.  Here's an overview of the moving rates at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Metro Jackson area.

Local Moves

For local moves we offer All Inclusive Pricing:

All local moves are billed with an all inclusive rate. It is billed based on actual time taken to complete the move rounded to the nearest 15 minutes after a 2 hour minimum. It includes everything that the movers will need such as dollies, truck, pads, straps or any other equipment. Coverage’s and all the other benefits are included as well with no deductible.

Packing

Packing is billed at an hourly rate rounded to the nearest 15 minutes. Our packing services include all the boxes and materials needed to pack an entire home or business. We can pack one box or the entire home or business. All items that we pack are insured by TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Jackson. All items that are packed on your own are not covered.

Load or Unload Only

Loading and unloading services are billed at an hourly rate rounded to the nearest 15 minutes. We offer loading and unloading of trucks as well should you be moving out of state, for example. We can also provide you with any packing supplies you may need.

Long Distance Moves

Intrastate moves represent distances that are outside the boundaries of local moves, but fall within Mississippi.

Interstate moves represent any relocation that crosses state lines.

Both Intrastate and Interstate moves are performed utilizing a tariff or approved guideline by which to operate. These types of moves are based on the weight of the total contents and the distance of the move. On-site or physical surveys are suggested on all weighted moves and certified weight tickets are provided on every move. We are members of the American Moving and Storage Association (AMSA) and transport household goods to any point within the United States.

Another thing to keep in mind is that we're an expedited service. This means we load only your contents on the truck and drive it directly to the new location and unload it. The same friendly movers that load you will carefully unload you. Most long distance movers load your items along with others and bounce around the country until they get to your unload possibly weeks later. They may also drop your stuff into storage until someone else comes along to grab it and deliver it.
